Shrink Word Document to One Page

Have you ever created a document that is just a bit too long to fit on one page? Next time that happens rather than wasting the paper printing an almost blank second page, use the Shrink to Fit feature that is available in Word.

In Word 2003, select Print Preview from the File menu and click on the Shrink to Fit icon found on the toolbar. In Word 2007 Print Preview can be found when you select Print from Microsoft Office button in the upper left corner of the Word window. There you will find the Shrink One Page button. Word automatically reduces the font size in the document to make the text fit the page. Remember, if you are unhappy with the results, just hit the undo button or press Ctrl-Z.
